Argument leads to assault at Cambridge hotel

Local police are still on the lookout for a man after an argument at a Cambridge hotel turned into an assault case.

The incident happened Tuesday night around 9:20 p. m., when officers were called to a hotel near Hespeler and Pinebush roads following reports of an assault.

It’s said that a man got into a dispute with two women. According to investigators, during the confrontation, he attacked both women with a sharp weapon before running off.

Both victims suffered injuries that aren’t life-threatening and were taken to hospitals outside the area for treatment.

Police told 570 News Radio this was not random – it was a targeted attack.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his 30s, about 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall, with an average build and a moustache. He was last seen wearing a hoodie under a brown jacket and blue pants.
