Police are trying to find a man who was noticed on school grounds in Cambridge, apparently recording videos while children played outside.
Officers from Waterloo Regional Police responded to an elementary school near Baldwin Drive and Guelph Avenue, in Hespeler, at about 1:00 p. m. on Monday.
The police haven’t named the school, but both St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School and Silverheights Public School are located in that area.
According to police, they were informed about a man walking around the school property who looked like he was filming a video.
He was first spotted in the back parking lot of the school, then seen walking through the playground where kids were outside for recess.
The man reportedly left after staff told him he wasn’t allowed on the grounds.
Police confirmed he didn’t approach or talk to any students during this time.
He’s described only as an adult about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark coat and black hat at the time.
If anyone has info about this man or what he was doing at the school, they’re asked to call police at 519-570-9777 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or by clicking here.
